Artist Statement
One of the many reasons I love portrait photography is because people tell interesting stories. Whether it’s the way they smile or the expression in their eyes, whenever I look at a portrait, I feel something powerful. I’ve been lucky that I’ve had such wonderful people to inspire me, especially my younger sisters, Hadley and Layton, who frequently model in my photographs. A dream of mine has been to travel the world documenting precious moments to share with others. I hope to somehow make a difference in the world through my art. My grandmother’s mantra for me is “I have what it takes.” With a camera in my hand, I believe her.
