Goth-ambient-dance-electro-pop sung by a young sprite with a slight lisp. I realize that’s the kind of polarizing introductory description that could turn a reader completely off to the music before they even hear the first note, but I think that’s sort of Grimes’ thing. She’s a love her / hate her type of artist and this is a love it / hate it type song. I’m in the former camp. I can’t get enough of it. That spindly synth. Those pixified, light-as-air vocals. Likely to end up as one of my favorite tracks of 2012. Grab the mp3 for free below.
