According to the director, this short film is about “one man’s struggle to transcend.” He goes on to say, “This humble film is about a friend of mine named Michael and his daily ritual to find his natural self through surfing.” The theme resonates with me deeply, how despite our conditions, or limitations, we are all seeking to enjoy our natural selves. Or as a book that I’m reading right now says, it’s more important to be yourself than anything else.
