Artist Statement

I’m a 24-year old Canadian designer and illustrator whose work is heavily influenced by the virtue of “taking one’s time,” or, as my Grandmother put it: “haste makes waste.” My focus is specifically on handcraftsmanship, the value of process and detail oriented design.

Currently inspired by: Byzantine iconography, Aubrey Beardsley, grizzly bears, the moon, ornate headdresses, bird nests, elaborate updos, Cyd Charisse in action (see: Dancing in the Rain).
