About The Artist

Ashley Blanton is entangled in a compulsive need to create.

Her current body of work contains the inky interiors of a nonlinear narrative, a story which is told on and across the surface of old book pages which have been lovingly, sometimes fitfully, removed from their spines. The pages contain the folds, fingerprints, stains, and scars of a story that is anonymous yet archetypal, morbid yet metamorphic.
